Capital 4 Impact Management has launched C4I MENA Fund I, a new blended finance fund designed to accelerate the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt and Jordan.
C4I MENA Fund I is managed by C4I Management, a subsidiary of C4IF, which is fully registered with the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority as an Alternative Investment Fund Manager.
The fund combines public funding with private capital to address one of the region’s biggest barriers to economic growth: access to finance for high-potential businesses. With a target fund size of DKK 150-250 million, the fund includes a DKK 62 million first-loss contribution from the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, provided through Capital 4 Impact Foundation, helping to reduce risk for private investors while mobilising additional commercial capital.
By providing flexible growth capital and technical assistance, C4I MENA Fund I aims to strengthen local business opportunities, create jobs and support sustainable economic development. The fund invests on fully commercial terms while delivering measurable social impact, with a focus on growth-oriented SMEs, particularly businesses contributing to the green transition, export development, and companies with women or young people in leadership or ownership.
For investors, the fund offers access to one of the world’s most dynamic growth regions through a blended finance structure designed to reduce downside risk while targeting competitive, risk-adjusted returns.
